Privacy Policy & Terms of Use

1. Data controller

Revver is published by Sisyphe, as a sole proprietorship. For any question about your personal data, write to app.sisyphe [at] gmail.com or use the contact form.

2. Data collected

• Identity: first name and email address, when creating your account — including via Apple or Google if you choose that sign-in method.
• Content you add: vehicles, mileage, maintenance, documents (registration, invoices…), photos.
• iOSApproximate location: only if you enable weather alerts, to detect frost or heatwaves near you.
• Device location, once and only when you ask for it from the emergency assistance screen: it is turned into a street address and shown to you (to give to emergency services or a tow truck). It is never stored or sent to our servers.
• Purchase data: your current Premium subscription. Payment history is managed by iOSApple or AndroidGoogle Play — we never see your payment method.
• A technical identifier tied to your account (UID), to sync your garage across your devices.
• Shared garages: if you invite people to a garage or join one, its members see the vehicles in that garage, as well as each member's first name and role (owner, editor, viewer).
• The device's advertising identifier (iOSIDFA, AndroidAndroid advertising ID), only for non-Premium accounts and according to your consent choices — see section 10.

3. Why we use this data

• Making the app work: creating your account, saving and syncing your garage.
• Alerting you when maintenance is due or when weather conditions pose a risk to your vehicles.
• Helping you after a breakdown or accident: showing your address and the emergency numbers of the country you're in.
• Sharing a garage with the people you invite.
• Managing your Premium subscription and its renewal.
• Showing ads in the free version, to fund the app. They are only personalized with your consent; a Premium subscription removes all ads.

4. Legal basis

• Contract performance: managing your account and garage.
• Consent: location (weather alerts, emergency assistance) and personalized advertising.
• Legitimate interest: security and service improvement, non-personalized advertising in the free version.

5. Recipients of your data

• Firebase / Google Cloud: hosting your account and syncing your garage, and sign-in if you use "Sign in with Google".
• iOSApple: Sign in with Apple, payment and Premium subscription management via StoreKit.
• AndroidGoogle Play: payment and Premium subscription management.
• iOSApple WeatherKit, only if you enable weather alerts: your approximate location is sent to get local weather.
• The system geocoding service (iOSApple, AndroidGoogle), only when you use emergency assistance: your location is sent to get the matching address.
• Other members of a shared garage, for that garage's vehicles only.
• Public news feeds (Caradisiac and L'Argus in French, Motor1.com in other languages) for the News tab: a simple technical request, with no personal data attached.
• Google AdMob, only if you're not a Premium subscriber. Without your consent, the ads shown are not personalized.

Your data is never sold to third parties.

6. Transfer outside the European Union

Some of our providers (Firebase/Google, Apple) may process data outside the European Union. These transfers are governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

7. Retention period

Your data is kept as long as your account is active. You can delete it at any time from Account → Delete my account: vehicles, photos and documents are then permanently erased.

8. Your rights

• Access, correction and deletion of your data.
• Portability: export your vehicle records and maintenance log as a PDF, from each vehicle.
• Objection and restriction of processing.
• Withdrawing consent at any time, in particular for location and personalized advertising — see section 12.

To exercise these rights, write to app.sisyphe [at] gmail.com. If you live in the European Union, you may also lodge a complaint with your country's data protection authority — the CNIL in France (cnil.fr).

9. Security

Your documents (registration, invoices…) are stored encrypted on your device. iOSAccess to your garage can be protected with Face ID or Touch ID. AndroidThe encryption key is generated in the Android Keystore and never leaves the secure hardware. All communication with our servers uses HTTPS.

10. Cookies and trackers

The app does not use cookies. For non-Premium accounts, it includes the Google AdMob ad network. On first launch, in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks whether you accept personalized advertising. iOSThe advertising identifier (IDFA) is only accessible with your explicit authorization through the App Tracking Transparency prompt. AndroidThe Android advertising ID may be read by AdMob; you can delete or reset it at any time in your device settings. Without consent, only non-personalized ads are shown.

This website uses Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) to measure its traffic — pages viewed, approximate origin, device type — only if you give your consent in the banner shown on your first visit. Until you accept, or if you decline, no cookie is set and no data is sent to Google. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. This data may be processed by Google in the United States, under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Two separate technical processes, not subject to consent, remain in place: fonts are loaded from Google Fonts' servers, which in doing so receive your IP address and browser; and our host, OVH SAS (2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France), keeps connection logs (IP address, date, page requested) for security purposes and for a limited period. The contact form sends nothing to this site: it drafts a message in your email app, which you remain free to send or not.

11. Terms of use

• Content you add (vehicles, documents, photos) remains your property.
• The Premium subscription renews automatically at term, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before: iOSin your Apple account settings, Androidin Google Play → Subscriptions. If cancelled, Premium access stays active until the end of the period already paid for.
• Resale value estimates are indicative only and do not constitute a professional appraisal.
• We reserve the right to suspend an account in case of fraudulent use (for example, a shared or stolen Premium code).

12. Your privacy choices

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. The only case of sharing for advertising purposes is the one described above (Google AdMob, non-Premium accounts); ad personalization is subject to your consent. Here, in one place, are all the levers to control what is collected:

• Personalized advertising (AdMob): iOSSettings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or via the App Tracking Transparency prompt; AndroidSettings → Google → Ads, to delete or reset the advertising ID. Without authorization, no personalized ads are shown to you. A Premium subscription removes all ads.
• Location (weather alerts, emergency assistance): iOSSettings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Revver; AndroidSettings → Apps → Revver → Permissions → Location.
• Shared garages: from the garage members screen, the owner can remove a member or change their role, and any member can leave the garage.
• Audience measurement on this website (Google Analytics): "Cookie preferences" link in the footer, at any time.
• Access, export, correction or deletion of your data: from the app, Account → Delete my account, or in writing to app.sisyphe [at] gmail.com.
